zweiter Vorsitzender der Konferenz der Progressiven Rabbiner und Prediger in Europa, Aufsichtsrat- Mitglied der Union of Liberal-Progressive Synagogues, Mitglied des europäischen Komitees der World Union of Progressive Judaism. 1978 wurde er zum Vorsitzenden des Council of Reform and Liberal Rabbis gewählt. “He was (…) called ‘The Rabbi’s Rabbi’ by his colleagues. He will be remembered for taking a small synagogue of struggling refugees and turning it into a growing vibrant one with children and grandchildren of founding members worshiping side by side with people from all over the world” (K.’s Tochter, Susan Leon, England).
